Had an idea over a congested freight corridor in the northwest that involves serious new tech.  Considering developing this with others to present to some key people later... let's see what happens.

Reading through the Transport for the North transport plan toward 2050, I did have an issue about trying to forecast over 30 years ahead; it's impossible!  However, I attended the public meeting in Liverpool on a VERY cold 28th Feb and heard the presentation by TfN.  TfN's approach is; short-term is understood, medium-term can be an educated guess but long-term must remain a broad aim with flexibility to adapt as technology develops.  The presentation was excellent, forward thinking, inclusive and open and was also strongly supported by Mick Noone [MerseyTravel & Liverpool City  Region] who CLEARLY wants Merseyside to be a showcase in attracting innovation and investment.  MerseyTravel has been integral to the region for many years, achieving an excellent public transport network, and their support for this project is critical.
